SOS Adoption and Rescue SOS works closely with a few ranchers in Canada to help sell their stock. SOS Rescue acts as agents on behalf of adopters wishing to help horses in need of homes.
PMU industry has been operating in Canada for more than 50 years. Pregnant mare urine was found to be an excellent source of estrogen that could be used to help hormone loss in women. Up to last year there were 450 ranches in operation. Since than approx 60% of the ranches have been closed. There is a huge cry for help for the mares and foals from these ranches.

The money earned will help rescue another horse with shipping costs for the adopters, help with funding private adoptions, veterinary tests and certificates for over the border importation.
